Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa holds another successful Biryani Muqabla

The winning Biryani dish, Maan Pasand Biryani will be part of the menu at the award-winning Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant

Dubai, UAE (October 09th, 2015): - Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of the ancient cultural district of Dubai, recently hosted the 9th Annual Biryani Muqabala, a live cooking competition sponsored by award winning Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant. Ms Nabila Waqar was declared top winner with her entry of Maan Pasand Biryani dish followed by Zareen Ahmed and Jharna Prakash Alwani as runners-up. The winning recipes will be featured as a Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant special menu and diners will have a chance to taste the delectable dish.

The Judges for the contest were renowned food critics, writer and chef namely Ms Hannah Joji- food blogger, Mr Rakesh Puri, CEO of Sterling Perfumes and Cook Book writer, Fatma Tas- food blogger and Chef. Glen Ferdinand, Executive Chef of Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, who selected the top three winners from the 09 chosen candidates out of 250 entries forms received.

This year’s winning recipe is Maan Pasand Biryani which will be part of award-winning Mumtaz Mahal restaurant menu, followed by Chicken Charga Biryani and Veg Methi Muttur Biryani. The variety of contest dishes included Maan Pasand Biryani which will be part of award-winning Mumtaz Mahal restaurant menu, followed by Chicken Charga Biryani, Super Prawnilicious Biryani, Dhuan Daar Moti Bahar Biryani, Kizhi Biryani, Chicken Tikka Biryani, Maa Ke Haath Ki Biryani, Super Prawnilicious Biryani and Veg Methi Muttur Biryani. The participants demonstrated exceptional culinary skills in the four-hour cooking contest on the final day. The Competition was officially sponsored by Malabar Gold and Diamond Jewelers, one of the oldest gold and diamond jewelry traders in the Middle East region.
